The Salem Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is an initiative designed to empower and prepare community members to help themselves and their neighbors in the event of a large-scale disaster. While our professional emergency services are highly trained, a catastrophic event may overwhelm local resources. Our program, managed by the City of Salem’s Fire Department, provides essential training to help bridge that gap until professional help can arrive. We are committed to building a more resilient and prepared community.
