Would you know what to do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salem CERT is proud to host a <strong>Stop the Bleed<\/strong> class. This hands-on training is designed for the general public and requires no prior medical experience. You will learn the three essential techniques to help save a life before professional first responders arrive on the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What the Class Covers:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this interactive session, you will learn and practice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Identifying Life-Threatening Bleeding:<\/strong> How to quickly recognize when a wound requires immediate intervention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Applying Direct Pressure:<\/strong> Using your hands and body weight to stop blood flow at the source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wound Packing:<\/strong> Learning how to use gauze or cloth to fill deep wounds and provide internal pressure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tourniquet Application:<\/strong> Mastery of the C-A-T (Combat Application Tourniquet) and how to apply it correctly to limbs to stop severe arterial bleeding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Class Details:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, June 17, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time:<\/strong> 6:00 PM \u2013 7:30 PM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Fire Station #6 (Training Room)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Address:<\/strong> 2740 25th Street SE, Salem, OR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Registration Information:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Space is strictly limited to ensure every participant gets hands-on practice with the instructors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To register, please contact Lola Hackett at <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:RosesAndCats55@yahoo.com\">RosesAndCats55@yahoo.com<\/a>.<\/strong> Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
