Training Team

The Training Team is dedicated to ensuring that Salem CERT volunteers are consistently equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve their community effectively. This team works year-round to plan, organize, and execute all training activities for the CERT program.

Primary Functions

A key goal is to maintain and improve the program’s educational standards. To achieve this, the team is responsible for:

  • Providing a robust annual training schedule, offering between two to four comprehensive training sessions each year.
  • Coordinating accessibility to training, including securing suitable venues that are convenient for all volunteers.
  • Preparing and updating all course materials, ensuring trainers have the latest resources for a successful session.
  • Tracking and analyzing participant feedback to continuously improve the quality and relevance of future Salem CERT training programs.

This ongoing process guarantees a high standard of preparedness across all of our neighborhood and specialized teams.
