The Organization Team is responsible for the structural health, long-term sustainability, and internal development of the Salem CERT program. This team ensures that our operational foundation is strong by focusing on clear internal processes, supporting member growth, and maintaining comprehensive, accessible documentation.
Primary Functions
To ensure program continuity and structural integrity, the team’s core responsibilities and projects include:
- Program Structure: Providing essential support for recruitment efforts and maintaining accurate process documentation across all teams.
- Strategy & Growth: Strengthening the overall program structure through regular reviews, and fostering leadership and volunteer retention via a systematic mentorship program.
- Key Projects: Ensuring all volunteers have clear guidance by updating the official volunteer handbook annually and establishing a formal mentorship program.
- Core Tasks: Revising and distributing the handbook, efficiently pairing mentors with new members, and organizing comprehensive orientation sessions to welcome and integrate new volunteers.
This focus on internal structure, documentation, and mentorship is essential for scaling the program and ensuring its efficiency and long-term vitality.
