The Training Team is dedicated to ensuring that Salem CERT volunteers are consistently equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve their community effectively. This team works year-round to plan, organize, and execute all training activities for the CERT program.
Primary Functions
A key goal is to maintain and improve the program’s educational standards. To achieve this, the team is responsible for:
- Providing a robust annual training schedule, offering between two to four comprehensive training sessions each year.
- Coordinating accessibility to training, including securing suitable venues that are convenient for all volunteers.
- Preparing and updating all course materials, ensuring trainers have the latest resources for a successful session.
- Tracking and analyzing participant feedback to continuously improve the quality and relevance of future Salem CERT training programs.
This ongoing process guarantees a high standard of preparedness across all of our neighborhood and specialized teams.
